Irjan Luttenberg joins TBT in 2010

Schaijk, 14 October ;Irjan Luttenberg (20) is joining the Trek-Brentjens MTB Racing Team for next year. Together with teammates Jelmer Pietersma (Ned), Tim Wijnants (Bel) and Frank Beemer (Ned) he will participate in national and international races.

Brentjens :
“ It is great to have hollands most talented mountainbiker in my team for next year. Irjan is still very young but the last years he has already made an impressive progression. I think our team can give him the opportunity to improve even more and become more professional. I am sure we will get some nice results together coming years.”

Luttenberg :
“Trek-Brentjens is a team that can bring me to the highest level, with Bart being the teammanager, who has been riding on the highest level,he knows how it is to be a professional top athlete. His experience and the energy he puts into the team is working for me. it is a very professional team; the crew, the bikes and equipment, but I also have a good feeling about the teammates and the way they work together. The Worldcup races and the Championships are my main goal for 2010, I think I can have some nice results in these races together with the Trek-Brentjens Mountainbike Racing Team.”

Irjan Luttenberg (9 December 1988) lives in Kranenburg, a city on the border between netherlands and germany. Besides being on his bike he is also studying Fysiotherapy in nijmegen. At the age of 14 he was riding his first Kidscup races. At the juniors it got more serious, Irjan had some good results, he was noticed by Stappenbelt MTB team, and joined this team. The last 4 years he was riding for this team, giving him the possibility to train and improve.
