Lukas Kaufmann (22) is going to race for the Trek-Brentjens MTB Racing Team in 2010. Together with teammates Jelmer Pietersma (Ned), Tim Wijnants (Bel) ,Frank Beemer (Ned) and Irjan Luttenberg (Ned) he will participate in national and international races.

Brentjens :
“ With Lukas we have another strong talent in the team. This Young Swiss rider is going to focus 100 % on mountainbiking for 2010, so I am confident that he is going to make progression for next year. Besides the biggest international races and Worldcups he will also participate in some Dutch races as well as some races close to switzerland. ”

Kaufmann :
“I have had a very good season this year. After the season I decided to focus 100 % on mountainbiking for 2010 and with the Trek-Brentjens MTB Racing Team I have found the perfect team to achieve my goals for the coming years. The structure of the team is very professional under the management of Bart Brentjens. The First impression of the team convinced me, a lot of talent from different nations and a good organization with focus on Worldcups. I really look forward for next year where I can focus 100 % on mountainbiking.”

Lukas Kaufmann (3 July 1987) born in Granichen, Switzerland lives in Kirchzarten, Germany. Kaufmann, a constructionarchtiect, started mountainbiking in 1997 and in 2010 he will focus only on mountainbiking.
